Stephen Kinnane established Sakonnet Furniture Makers Inc. in 2010 after completing a two-year program at Boston's renowned North Bennet Street School of Traditional Craft.

For over 15 years now, we’ve been designing and building custom furniture for homes and businesses across New England and beyond. We're passionate about classical woodworking and love creating pieces for people who truly appreciate the beauty of traditional craftsmanship.

Operating from our studio and workshop in Little Compton, RI, we meticulously draft detailed plans for each piece before construction begins. This approach ensures precise dimensions and prevents potential joinery issues. We rely on time-honored joinery techniques to maintain the integrity and quality of every piece, upholding our dedication to superior craftsmanship.
